Błękitna laguna kojarzy mi się tylko z jednym, a mianowicie z filmem Randala Kleisera z 1980 roku (to lata mojego dzieciństwa) pod tym samym tytułem. Wam też? Jeśliście z mojej półki wiekowej, to pewnie też ;), a jeśli nie to zapewne niekoniecznie. Anyway, jeśli liczycie na melodramat w postaci nastolatków spędzających przymusowe wakacje na bezludnej wyspie to się mocno przeliczycie. Gra doktora matematyki to logiczno-strategiczna pozycja o zasiedlaniu wysp. Obok klimatu – jak zwykle u Knizi – tylko leżała. A więc w pierwszej fazie Polinezyjczycy zasiedlają wyspę z morza, a w drugiej rozprzestrzeniają się z wiosek. Reszta to już czysta logika.

Zasady

Najpierw mamy epokę eksploracji. Tura gracza polega na dołożeniu swojego elementu (człowieka lub wioski) na mapę. Może to zrobić na dowolnym polu wody (tylko żeton człowieka – żeby było bardziej klimatycznie stroną łodzi ku górze) albo na polu wyspy o ile sąsiaduje z dowolnym innym żetonem jego koloru (żeton stroną osadnika ku górze, albo figurkę wioski). Jeśli na zajmowanym polu leży jakieś dobro – zasoby (kokos, woda, bambus lub drogocenne kamienie) albo statuetki – zabiera je do siebie.

W grze mamy kilka celów do osiągnięcia – zdobywanie setów (punktują dwa, trzy albo cztery takie same zasoby) oraz obecność na wyspach (punktują przewagi, połączone wyspy oraz jako ekstra bonus za obecność na wszystkich (8) lub prawie wszystkich (7) wyspach).

To w zasadzie wszystko. Aha, pierwsze punktowanie odbywa się po zakończeniu fazy eksploracji (gdy zdejmiemy z planszy wszystkie zasoby bądź jeden z graczy położy wszystkie swoje znaczniki na planszę). Na tym możemy grę zakończyć (wariant skrócony) bądź przejść do fazy osadnictwa (wariant pełny). Zdejmujemy wszystkie żetony (wioski zostają), oddajemy surowce – ponownie trafiają one na planszę w sposób losowy i rozpoczynamy fazę osadnictwa, która praktycznie różni się od poprzedniej tylko tym, że kładziemy jedynie żetony (wioski już są na planszy) i nie możemy ich kłaść na dowolnym polu wody – tym razem rozpoczynamy zdobywanie mapy od umieszczania żetonów przy naszych wioskach i kładziemy je zawsze w pobliżu innych naszych elementów.

Punktowanie po fazie osadnictwa nie różni się niczym od punktowania po fazie eksploracji a o zwycięstwie decyduje suma punktów z obu faz.

Wrażenia

Typowa gra doktora. Do bólu pozbawiona klimatu, logiczna w dwie osoby, w cztery wymagająca i bardziej taktyczna niż strategiczna. Nie jest źle, bo do pewnego stopnia da się przewidzieć ruchy innych graczy – choć nie brakuje elementu zaskoczenia.

Surowce – cóż. wyglądają ładnie ale są kompletnie nie w klimacie. Nijak nie kojarzą się. Zbieramy niebieskie, zielone, żółte i białe. Bo brązowe to statuetki – nie liczą się do zasobów i inaczej punktują. W zasadzie to mogłyby być to kolorowe kosteczki.

Poza tym jednym mankamentem – gra wygląda bardzo ładnie, jest przejrzysta, instrukcja zwięzła krótka i na temat, bloczek do punktowania mogący służyć jednocześnie za pomoc gracza – intuicyjny. Grać, żyć i nie umierać. Nic odkrywczego, ale też nic, do czego można byłoby się w jakiś istotny sposób przyczepić. Jest wiele sposobów na zdobywanie punktów, nie da się pójść we wszystko. Sporo daje kompletowanie czterech takich samych zasobów – ale nie zawsze się uda, zwłaszcza przy większej liczbie graczy. Warto pokusić się o obecność na wszystkich wyspach. Przy 4 graczach bardzo trudno będzie połączyć kilka wysp nieprzerwanym pasmem swoich znaczników – efektywne blokowanie zaczyna się już nawet przy 3 graczach. Bezpieczną opcją jest zbieranie brązowych statuetek – ale to rozwój liniowy – każda po prostu daje 4 punkty. Jest w czym wybierać, trzeba być też elastycznym. To naprawdę kolejna dobra pozycja Knizi – idealna jako gra rodzinna.

Co znaczy ta ocena według Games Fanatic?
Dobry, solidny produkt. Gra może nie wybitnie oryginalna, ale wciąż zapewnia satysfakcjonującą rozgrywkę. Na pewno warto ją przynajmniej wypróbować. Do ulubionych gier jednak nie będzie należała.
