Colorio i Pentago – dla małych i dużych graczy [Współpraca reklamowa z Egmont] Wydawca nie ma wpływu na treść recenzji

Lubię gry o bardzo prostych regułach, krótkim czasie rozgrywki, dynamiczne i dające satysfakcję. Gry, do których potrafię zaciągnąć każdego. Lubię je, gdy mam niewiele wolnego czasu, a potrzebuję odświeżyć umysł, nie tylko mój. Do tej kategorii należy Pentago, znane mi od bardzo dawna, zaś od niedawna również Colorio. Pierwszą grę bez obaw wyciągam dla starszych współgraczy, drugą raczej w gronie dzieci, choć w układzie dzieci-dorośli też się dobrze sprawdza.

Obie gry mają ze sobą jeszcze coś wspólnego. W Polsce zostały wydane przez wydawnictwo Egmont, które bardzo dba nie tylko o merytoryczne zaspokojenie potrzeb odpowiednich grup docelowych, ale także o jakość. Gry są wydane pierwszorzędnie, począwszy od pudełek, poprzez elementy gry, aż do wyprasek.

Colorio

Jest to bardzo ciekawa gra typu memory. Wiadomo, że im człowiek starszy, tym mniej toleruje gry o takiej mechanice. Wyjątkiem jest oczywiście posiadanie dzieci lub opiekowanie się nimi. Wtedy nie wiadomo skąd poziom tolerancji urasta do gigantycznych wręcz rozmiarów. Mechanika w Colorio zaskoczyła mnie bardzo pozytywnie i wcale nie potrzebowałam do tego towarzystwa dzieci. Plansza do gry to ramka wykonana z plastiku z 25 otworami na powierzchni i 5 szczelinami z 2 przeciwległych boków. Otwory posiadają świetnie dopasowane korki, które zakłada się przed każdą rozgrywką. W szczeliny wsuwa się paski podzielone na 5 kolorów, wybierając stronę łatwiejszą lub trudniejszą. Różnica między stronami polega na tym, że wersja łatwiejsza posiada 5 różnych kolorów na poszczególnych paskach, strona trudniejsza – dany kolor może powtórzyć się na pasku 2 razy. Jak dobrze policzyłam, paski na danym poziomie trudności można rozmieścić na 240 sposobów.

Celem gry jest wyeliminowanie współgraczy albo inaczej mówiąc, utrzymanie się w grze. W swojej turze gracz musi kolejno odsłonić 3 pola, poprzez ściągnięcie korków. Podejmuje przy tym decyzje czy wyeliminować korek z gry, czy przestawić go na inne odsłonięte pole. 1 korek musi być zawsze odrzucony, przez co liczba korków na planszy zmniejsza się, a poziom napięcia wzrasta. Gdy gracz odsłoni korek, pod którym znajduje się piąte pole w tym samym kolorze, co już odsłonięte pola, odpada z gry. Chcąc maksymalnie przedłużyć czas gry warto kierować się zasadą eliminacji w swojej turze tylko 1 korka. Choć czasem sytuacja na planszy, albo taktyczne zagranie wymusza inny sposób gry. Wśród młodszych dzieci widziałam przede wszystkim rozgrywki oparte na losowym ściąganiu korków, starsze dzieci starają się zapamiętywać pozycje kolorów i unikają niechcianych pól, zaczynają też kombinować z przestawianiem korków, młodzież i dorośli grają najczęściej w sposób bardziej przemyślany. W łatwiejszej wersji ogromną podpowiedzią jest informacja, że na danym pasku kolory nie powtarzają się. Osobiście lubię tę trudniejszą wersję kolorystyczną, a także zaproponowaną w instrukcji grę na punkty. Z punktu widzenia dorosłego, ta gra jest bardzo łatwa i nie olśniewająca, jednak w tym gronie można zagrać od czasu do czasu. Dla dzieci i młodzieży jest w sam raz. Mam tylko zastrzeżenie co do liczby graczy – im jest ich więcej, tym większe prawdopodobieństwo, że wygrana będzie należała do ostatniego gracza, szczególnie odczuwalne w rozgrywkach 5cio osobowych. Najwięcej satysfakcji dała mi gra w 2, 3 osoby.

Pentago
Z tą grą to już całkiem inna historia. Znam ją już wiele lat i nadal mi się nie znudziła. Nie odmówię partyjki, gdy ktoś poprosi, sama w pewnych sytuacjach ją proponuję. Mam też jej drewnianą wersję, tzw. de Luxe, choć z kiepsko wykonanymi kulami. Wersja z Egmontu zachwyciła mnie i przekonała, że plastik też jest świetny. Porządne kule: czarne i białe, solidna kwadratowa plansza z wysuwanymi i obracalnymi ćwiartkami, a do tego dobrze dopasowana i mocno trzymająca się plastikowa pokrywa (świetne rozwiązanie techniczne na wycieczki). W moim zachwycie nad mechaniką i wykonaniem utwierdzają mnie wszystkie nominacje i nagrody jakie ta gra uzyskała w Szwecji, Norwegii, Francji, USA, Wielkiej Brytanii, Niemczech, Belgii, czy Japonii.

Pentago sięga korzeniami do gry „Kółko i krzyżyk”. Jest jednak bardziej rozbudowaną grą. Celem jest ułożenie w jednej linii (poziomej, pionowej, ukośnej) 5 kul w swoim kolorze, mając do dyspozycji planszę o wielkości 6×6 pól. Po każdym wyłożeniu kuli należy dowolną ćwiartkę obrócić o 90° w dowolnym kierunku. Te proste reguły gry pozwalają nowym graczom szybko wejść w świat gier logicznych. Pentago jest właśnie niebanalną grą logiczną, choć nie arcydziełem w tym gatunku. Wymaga strategicznego podejścia, jest tu też sporo taktyki, no i potrzebna jest wyobraźnia pozwalająca na ocenę przydatności bądź szkodliwości obrócenia fragmentu planszy.
Według poradnika strategicznego do Pentago, istnieją 4 sposoby na wygraną. W trzech z nich 3 kule danego koloru muszą być ułożone w jednej z ćwiartek. Oczywiście, każdy sposób ma swoje wady i zalety, ma swoją moc. W trakcie gry nie można od razu zdradzić układu do jakiego się zmierza. Trzeba również obserwować do jakiego układu zmierza przeciwnik i odpowiadać na jego zagrania. Ważny jest również sposób rozpoczęcia gry, a przykłady można znaleźć we wspomnianym poradniku. W grze można grać ofensywnie i defensywnie. Często drobna nieuwaga zmusza nas do zmiany sposobu gry, czego przykładem jest ułożenie przez przeciwnika 3 kul w rzędzie w jednej ćwiartce. Im bardziej doświadczeni gracze, tym więcej kul zostaje wyłożonych na planszę.

    Pentago bardzo lubię. Jedyny minus jest taki, że dziecko z dorosłym nie wygra, ale oczywiście 2 równorzędne osoby będą się dobrze bawić. No i przewaga gracza rozpoczynającego jest w tej grze duża, podobnie jak w Roju. W sieci można pograć z komputerem. Ten na oficjalnej stronie jest słaby, ale kiedyś znalazłem jakiś inny symulator (szwedzki?), który miał różne poziomy trudności i był większym wyzwaniem.

    To nie prawda że dziecko nie wygra z dorosłym. Przypominam sobie konwent „Gramy” w Gdyni z 2010 roku, gdzie chłopiec 8 latek pokonał w turnieju Pentago wszystkich uczestników (około 20 uczestników). Poziom był bardzo wysoki. Wtedy to także jedyny raz widziałem remis w tej grze, i jedną partię, która trwał ponad 30 minut.
