DSCN3518Jakiś czas temu na GF pojawił się tekst o grze Story Cubes oraz trzech dodatkach: Strachy, Mity i Zwierzęta. Dziś chcę zaprezentować kolejną odsłonę kości Rory’ego, a więc dwa nowe zestawy: Story Cubes Batman oraz Muminki.

Zacznę od tego, że Story Cubes Muminki i Batman to nie są dodatki do podstawowej gry, ale samodzielne i niezależne zestawy. Oczywiście, nic nie stoi na przeszkodzie, aby łączyć je z podstawką albo dodatkami. Story Cubes to taka gra, w której ogranicza nas tylko nasza własna wyobraźnia.

Co się zmieniło w stosunku do wcześniejszych, znanych wersji gry? Zaczynając od szaty graficznej, przede wszystkim opakowanie. Magnetyczne pudełko zostało zastąpione przez pudełeczka plastikowe podobnych rozmiarów. Moim zdaniem, trochę szkoda, te magnetyczne podobały mi się bardziej (ja w ogóle nie przepadam za plastikiem). Aczkolwiek rozumiem chęć odróżnienia od poprzednich wersji, nawet w aspekcie wizualnym. Poza tym, zestawy Batman i Muminki kupujemy w bardzo fajnych opakowaniach, w których wszystkie kości są widoczne. Myślę, że to dobry pomysł, na pewno bardziej przyciąga wzrok i zachęca do zakupu.

Jeśli chodzi o same kości, to oczywiście jakość wciąż jest na najwyższym poziomie. Do tego rysunki są naprawdę świetne. Wykonane z dużą precyzją, dbałością o szczegóły, łatwo je zidentyfikować. Doskonała robota!

 

 

Jeśli chodzi o samą grę, to jej charakter nieco się zmienił. Naszym zadaniem jest teraz tworzyć historie na konkretny temat. Znamy bohaterów, znamy świat, o którym opowiadamy. Nie startujemy od zera. Oczywiście, być może mniej będzie różnych dodatkowych zastosowań, ale za to większa przyjemność dla fanów Batmana czy Muminków. W takim układzie bardzo dobrym pomysłem było zamieszczenie w instrukcji indeksu wszystkich obrazków, które znajdziemy na kościach. Tworząc konkretne, tematyczne historie bardziej zależy nam na prawidłowym zidentyfikowaniu grafiki niż na luźnych skojarzeniach. Zatem opis każdego rysunku bywa bardzo przydatny.

DSCN4281Jeśli chodzi o moje wrażenia: u mnie najlepiej przyjął się Batman. Mam w ekipie grającej fanów komiksów, więc tym bardziej chętnie sięgali po te kości. Cóż, ja nigdy nie pałałam miłością do superbohaterów, wydawało mi się to głupie. Ale… po kontakcie ze Story Cubes Batman jakoś bardziej polubiłam te klimaty :). Nawet zaczęłam sięgać do komiksów i filmów z Batmanem, zaciekawiły mnie takie postacie jak Strach na Wróble, Dwie Twarze, Joker, Człowiek-Zagadka. Cóż, chyba nigdy się po sobie nie spodziewałam takich zainteresowań. Jeśli chodzi o ten zestaw, to mogę go polecić fanom Batmana, samodzielne tworzenie historii o waszym ulubionym bohaterze powinno wam przypaść do gustu. Poza tym, zestaw może się też sprawdzić wśród młodych chłopców. Wiadomo jak to z dziećmi, dziewczynki chętniej chcą słuchać bajek, z chłopcami bywa różnie. A jeśli rodzice chcieliby jakoś pomóc pociechom potrenować wyobraźnię, to jak najbardziej Story Cubes się sprawdzi. Jeśli podstawowe  zestawy nie przekonały dzieci do siebie, to właśnie zwłaszcza chłopcom Batman może się spodobać.

DSCN4283Co do Muminków: sięgnęłam po te kostki z dużą nostalgią. Lubiłam Muminki jako dziecko, więc miałam naprawdę sporą frajdę, przypominając sobie bohaterów z dzieciństwa. Niektórych rozpoznałam bez większego problemu, ale inni zatarli się gdzieś w pamięci. Tym bardziej cieszyło mnie ponowne spotkanie z rodziną Muminków, Włóczykijem (moja pierwsza miłość!), Małą Mi, Bobkiem, Ryjkiem, Paszczakiem, a także Buką i Hatifnatami. Przypomniały się czasy wieczorynek na „jedynce” i z przykrością odkryłam, że… już ich nie ma w ramówce. Mam nadzieję, że rodzice pokazują swoim pociechom ich bajki z dzieciństwa… Smerfy, Gumisie, Muminki. Kiedyś to były bajki :P (chyba się starzeję!).  Zestaw Story Cubes Muminki świetnie się sprawdzi, żeby pokazać pociechom, czym żyliśmy, gdy byliśmy dziećmi :).

A więc podsumowując, zestawy Batman i Muminki trochę różnią się od wcześniejszych wersji Story Cubes. Mają nieco inny charakter: tworzymy historie na konkretny temat, bardziej zależy nam na dokładnym rozpoznaniu obrazków niż na luźnych skojarzeniach. Zatem gra jest mniej „elastyczna”, jeśli chodzi o różnorodność zastosowań, ale wciąż dobra, jeśli lubimy te tematy. Każdy zestaw to osobna, niezależna gra, ale spokojnie możemy je połączyć z innymi wersjami Story Cubes. Nic również nie stoi na przeszkodzie, żeby połączyć Batmana i Muminki. Kto nie chciałby stworzyć historii o tym, jak Batman pokonuje Bukę? :D

Komu mogłabym polecić? Cóż, ja chyba jestem nieobiektywna w tym względzie, bo za bardzo jestem przywiązana do słowa: pisanego, mówionego i w każdej innej postaci. Ogromnie cenię umiejętność tworzenia historii, a zatem również gry narracyjne. Więc ja polecam je każdemu. Choć wiem, że nie każdemu przypadną do gustu. Aczkolwiek ci, którzy ich nie lubią, w mojej opinii potrzebują ich najbardziej :). Trzeba obudzić wyobraźnię!

Łącząc Story Cubes Muminki i Batman z innymi zestawami i dodatkami, otrzymujemy całkiem pokaźny stosik kości :)

Co znaczy ta ocena według Games Fanatic?
Bardzo dobry przedstawiciel swojego gatunku, godny polecania. Wady mało znaczące, nie przesłaniające mocno pozytywnego odbioru całości. Gra daje dużo satysfakcji.
