Gra miesiąca Sierpień 2008

Czas nadrabiać zaległości. Dzisiaj spóźniona gra miesiąca, a wkrótce nagrana w poniedziałek Planszostacja – odcinek 22.

W sierpniu w związku z faktem, iż prawie nie bywałem na warszawskich spotkaniach oraz nie udało mi się również być częścią Mazurkonu na Kaszubach liczba rozegranych partii była bardzo skromna. Mimo to udało mi się zagrać w ukochane Through the Ages oraz poznać dwie nowości.

Rheinlander był nijaki. Niby coś innego, niby jakieś strategie są, ale wszystko ginie w ogólnym uczuciu bylejakości. Nie palę się do kolejnych rozgrywek i moje pierwsze wrażenie może być błędne, tym niemniej wypadkowa przeciętnego wykonania, losowości kart i ogólnego chaosu tworzonego przez pozostałych graczy sprawia, że będę ten tytuł odradzał. Vikings natomiast bardzo mi się spodobało, zwłaszcza bardzo oryginalny mechanizm zmiany kosztów poszczególnych żetonów. Niespecjalnie lubię gry z układaniem żetonów, tutaj jednak jest to zrobione naprawdę ciekawie i myślę, że przy dobrej cenie będę rozważał dodanie tytułu do mojej kolekcji.

Bez problemu ta gra zdobyłaby tytuł gry miesiąca, gdyby nie wielki powrót starego wiarusa. Samurai to dla mnie chyba najlepsza gra dr Knizii i zasłużenie zdobywa tytuł gry sierpnia. Grałem w niego w dwie i w cztery osoby, nad jeziorem i nad szklanką ginu z tonikiem i zawsze sprawdzał się wspaniale. Wykonanie jest bez zarzutu, tempo bardzo szybkie, a niepowtarzalność każdej rozgrywki zapewnia, iż japoński wojownik będzie częstym gościem na stole. Wydanie polskiej wersja jest idealnym momentem, by ten rewelacyjny tytuł zaprosić do swojego domu – zapewniam, że nie pożałujecie.

Wydarzeniem sierpnia był oczywiście wyjazd do Debrzyna. Fantastyczny ośrodek na Kaszubach, w środku lasu, nad brzegiem jeziora i tłumy fantatyków wspólnego grania. Tam też poznałem grę, którą nominuję do tytułu gry sierpnia. Sprawa jest prosta, bo zachwyty nad tym tytułem artykułowałem natychmiast po powrocie. Wygrywa Manoeuvre. Naprzóóóóóóóóóód!

Przy wyborze gry sierpnia muszę delikatnie zmodyfikować moje wcześniejsze założenia. Otóż uznałem, że nie wystarczy jeśli o jakiejś grze najwięcej myślałem w przypadku gdy nie zdążyłem w nią w danym miesiącu zagrać. Poza tym gra, o której mówię pewnie zostanie moją gra września więc nic straconego.

Tymczasem moją grą sierpnia jest Imperial. Pierwsza gra z rondlem, którą poznałem (w sierpniu zagrałem także pierwszy raz w Antike). Ale nie mechanizm rondla zrobił na mnie w Imperialu największe wrażenie a znakomity pomysł aby gracze zarządzali podczas rozgrywki różnymi państwami w zależności od tego ile w nie zainwestowali. W Imperialu nie ma żadnej losowości jest natomiast planowanie krótko i długoterminowe, podboje militarne, dyplomacja, ekonomia, niespodziewane zwroty akcji i emocje do samego końca. Po obu partiach, które rozegrałem długo analizowałem zagrania swoje i przeciwników. W Imperialu bardzo trudno ocenić jakość pojedynczej decyzji ponieważ każdy ruch wpływa na bardzo wiele elementów obecnej i przyszłej sytuacji na planszy. Dzięki temu gra daje nie tylko mnóstwo frajdy podczas rozgrywki ale też długo, długo po niej. Gorąco polecam!
